Barrhaven Public School was the first school to open in the community of Barrhaven.

Currently we are a JK-Grade 5, dual track school, offering both English/Core French and Early French Immersion programs for our students, with approximately 790 students for the 2011-2012 school year,

Effective September 2012, our school will temporarily become a JK-4 site (for 3 years) with an enrollment of approximately 550 students. Cedarview Middle School will be grades 5-8 for those years. Our attendance boundaries have changed as a result of the opening of a new school in Chapman Mills for September 2012.
